This piece is inspired by a Japanese molding technique called kintsukuroi which is the mending of broken pieces with gold or silver lacquer, this piece is all about enlightenment and the celebration of the strength that comes with being an African woman whose courage can be likened with that of gold, because she's able to mend up her broken pieces that the society has handed to her and mold her self into something more beautiful and wonderful.
